Job Description
Summary: Galileo Financial Technologies is a financial technology company that provides innovative software products and services for Fintechs. The Product Manager Intern will work closely with cross-functional teams to shape and deliver new features, gaining hands-on experience in product management.
Responsibilities:
- As a Product Manager Intern at Galileo, you will have an opportunity to learn every aspect of the Product Manager role by end-to-end owning, shaping and delivering a new feature
- This role is inherently cross-functional—you will work closely with engineering, business development, sales, implementation, data, operations, finance, and many other teams to set project objectives, define product strategy, prioritize features and execute on them
- The internship will comprise of the following product development stages:
- Ideation - refine the scope of your problem statement and work with marketing stakeholders to outline the problem you are looking to solve, solution, success metrics, and impact
- Plan - work with engineering to build out an implementation plan and timeline for developing, launching, and testing your new feature
- Implement - work with engineering and marketing stakeholders to implement, and test the new feature. Track how your feature is performing compared to the success metrics outlined in the ideation phase
Required Qualifications:
- Enrolled in an accredited US-based university (working towards a Master's degree) with an expected graduation date of December 2026 or Spring 2027
- Have no more than 3 years of professional, full-time work experience (excluding internships and research assistant roles)
- Must be returning to school for at least one quarter or semester after the internship
- Must be willing to relocate to San Francisco Bay Area and be available to work in the San Francisco HQ office
- Some experience building software or launching products in a non-academic setting (internship, hackathon, relevant projects, etc.)
- Interest in product management and marketing functions
- Flexible and collaborative approach to problem solving and ideation in a highly ambiguous environment
- Ability to operate cross-functionally, leading and influencing colleagues, and ultimately leading to timely tactical decision making
- Superior communication skills, both written and verbal
- Data-driven approach and excellent analytical skills
