Job Description
Summary: FurtherAI is building the next generation of AI agents for the insurance industry and is seeking a Software/AI Engineer (New Grad) to join their early team. In this role, you will work on product features involving AI model integration, data processing, and scalable backend systems, collaborating with senior engineers and AI researchers.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, test, and deploy production-level code across our backend and AI systems
- Collaborate with AI researchers to integrate and optimize large language models for insurance workflows
- Build data processing and evaluation pipelines for unstructured document inputs (PDFs, emails, images)
- Contribute to core infrastructure, from APIs to orchestration logic powering our AI Workspace for Insurance
- Work cross-functionally with product and customer teams to identify and solve real business problems with AI
- Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and rapid iteration cycles
Required Qualifications:
- Are a recent CS, EE, or related STEM graduate (Bachelor's or Master's) with a strong foundation in software engineering
- Have hands-on experience with Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, or similar modern languages
- Understand or are excited to learn about large language models (LLMs), NLP, or applied AI systems
- Are curious, resourceful, and comfortable working in fast-moving, ambiguous environments
- Want to see your code drive visible impact in the real world — not just in research
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous internship or project experience in AI/ML or full-stack development
- Experience working with frameworks like PyTorch, LangChain, or FastAPI
- Interest in insurance, fintech, or other regulated industries
