Job Description
Summary: Faith Technologies is a company that focuses on construction, engineering, manufacturing, and renewable energy, emphasizing a culture of care for its employees. The Mechanical Design Intern will work closely with the product engineering team, assisting in various engineering tasks, including creating 2D prints and 3D models, and supporting the product life cycle from design to verification.
Responsibilities:
- Assists in the preparation of mechanical and electrical designs for power and low voltage products
- Interacts with the Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Industrial Engineering staff on a regular basis
- Creates and updates 2D prints and 3D models for piece parts components
- Creates and updates 3D layouts of top-level and sub-level assemblies
- Prepare Bills of Materials and prepare Change Notices to release components and assemblies
- Self-checks own work to ensure accuracy to established drawing and design specifications and standards
- Provide technical assistance for prototype and pilot builds along with production support as needed
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned
Required Qualifications:
- Must be enrolled in a Two Year Technical program at an accredited institution and actively working toward an Associates Degree in Mechanical CAD Drafting, Mechanical Design, or equivalent
- Hands on college programs or related work experience related to the field of study or electrical products
- Proficient in the use of a PC
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience in 2D and 3D CAD modeling
- Possess basic knowledge of engineering software
- Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly
- Understanding drawing standards
- Understanding Change Notice practices
- Creation of Bills of Material
