Summer Internship- Transformation Intern at FreshDirect in Bronx, NY

Summary: FreshDirect is a technology-powered company reinventing the grocery experience by delivering fresh food directly from farms to consumers. The Operations Transformation Intern will support strategic improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing efficiency and service quality across operations, working cross-functionally to translate operational challenges into data-driven process improvements. Responsibilities: - Support ongoing operational improvement and transformation projects - Document current workflows and identify process gaps, bottlenecks, and inefficiencies - Analyze operational KPIs to identify improvement opportunities - Support root cause analysis for recurring issues and translate data findings into process recommendations - Measure before/after impact of transformation initiatives - Coordinate with plant operations, transportation, planning, and CX teams to ensure project execution - Prepare project updates, dashboards, and leadership-ready summaries Required Qualifications: - Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills - Advanced Excel skills - Interest in process improvement, project management, and operations strategy - Strong communication and stakeholder management skills - Ability to work across multiple teams and priorities - Must embody and demonstrate company values and culture Preferred Qualifications: - Power BI, SQL, or process mapping experience is a plus Required Skills: Advanced Excel, Power BI, SQL, Process Mapping, Structured Problem Solving, Stakeholder Management Benefits: On-the-job training for plant employees and drivers, Team-building activities, Workplace recognition opportunities, Encouraging direct relationships with our suppliers in the field
