Job Description
Summary: Freeformfuturecorp builds AI-native manufacturing systems that unify software, hardware, and physics to produce industrial-scale parts. As an Additive Manufacturing Technician, you will be responsible for the post processing of 3D printed parts, ensuring they are ready for shipment to customers while participating in process improvements for mass production.
Responsibilities:
- Operate, maintain, and monitor machinery such as wire EDMs, surface grinders, sand blasters, deburring tools, bandsaws and handle metal powders
- Post process printed parts including depowering, precision cleaning, removing supports, and surface-finishing
- Participate in process improvement efforts to streamline post processing operations to enable mass production
- Help turnover builds, ensuring powders, tools, and equipment are available at all times
- Assist with visual inspection and shipment of final parts
Required Qualifications:
- 1+ years of experience in metal additive manufacturing process support or precision deburring of machined parts
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in operating complex equipment
- Skilled with manual machining, welding, cutting, fitting and/or bending of stainless steels, aluminums, and high-strength nickel alloys
- Ability to utilize power tools, hand tools, cranes, forklifts, and other heavy equipment
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50lbs unassisted
- Ability to climb ladders and be on your feet for extended periods of time
- Must be available and willing to work overtime when needed
- Safety conscience
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
