Position Overview:
At Freddie Mac, you’ll do important work that supports our mission to make home possible for millions of families. We’re seeking a talented Strategic and Executive Engagement Manager to serve as a writer for executive and internal communications. In this pivotal role, you’ll partner with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to craft compelling, strategic messaging that informs, inspires, and engages stakeholders and Freddie Mac employees.

Grow the candidate’s knowledge and understanding of marketing and communications – including writing client-centric communications, defining audience and segment opportunities, and providing input for strategy and planning for multi-channel campaigns and creative briefs.

Your Impact:
This role will be responsible for shaping Freddie Mac’s voice, telling our story, and fostering a culture of transparency and engagement. You'll deliver impactful communications that support business priorities and connect our people to our purpose.
Develop executive communication strategies that support business objectives, build brand authority and customer engagement.
Support executive communications, including talking points, thought leadership, social media content and internal communications.
Maintain divisional key messages and brand portal updates.
Own the speaker bureau process including bio and headshot updates and speaker training coordination.
Develop and execute internal communication strategies that drive employee engagement, alignment, and understanding of Freddie Mac’s mission, values, and business objectives.
Manage internal communications such as newsletters, emails, onsite or virtual meetings, intranet updates etc.
Plan and collaborate with omnichannel leads to develop executive content in support of campaign activity.
Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver clear, concise, and compelling content for a variety of channels (intranet, email, video scripts, newsletters, and more).
Measure and report on communication effectiveness, using insights to continually improve strategies and content.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, English, or related field.
5+ years of experience in executive and internal communications, with a strong portfolio of writing for senior leaders.
Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate complex topics into clear, engaging communications.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Proven experience advising and partnering with executives in a fast-paced, matrixed organization.
Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Financial services or highly regulated industry experience preferred.

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $94,000 - $142,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
