Job Description
Summary: Framatome is a leader in the nuclear energy sector, committed to creating reliable, carbon-free energy solutions. The Ceramics Process Engineer will perform standard engineering assignments, develop awareness of regulations and standards, and apply techniques under mentorship to contribute to innovative projects in the field of clean energy.
Responsibilities:
- Perform standard engineering assignments typically in areas of design, development, analysis, evaluation, testing, preparation of specifications, execution of field tasks, resolution of field problems, and resolution of quality events
- Develop awareness of government regulations, organization, industry and customer engineering standards with support of senior staff
- Under a mentor’s guidance, evaluate, select and apply standard techniques, procedures, and criteria using judgement in making minor adaptations and modifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
- Dependent on the position, degrees in Physics, Engineering Technology and Engineering Science may also be accepted
- Basic knowledge of related engineering standards, techniques and criteria
- Exposure to use of CAD modeling and computer programming skills

Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and/or chemical manufacturing systems
- Ability to handle multiple work assignments simultaneously
- Adaptable and able to continually apply safety and lessons learned to decisions
- Ability to communicate with craft, engineers, and operators
- Ability and willingness to work directly in a production environment
- Previous internship/co-op experience in field of study
Required Skills: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, CAD modeling
Important Skills: Mechanical troubleshooting, Chemical manufacturing systems
Nice-to-Have Skills: Internship experience
