Job Description
Summary: Fox Factory designs, engineers, manufactures and markets performance-defining products and systems for customers worldwide. The Production Inspector is responsible for inspecting finished products and materials for conformance to company standards, ensuring quality and safety in the manufacturing process.
Responsibilities:
- Checks randomly selected samples and verifies accuracy of equipment or process
- Examine, test, or measure raw materials and finished products to ensure they meet specifications
- Reports conditions requiring immediate repair
- Works under general supervision
- Keeps records and makes reports indicating results of inspections
- Inspect work areas to detect unsafe conditions
- Document, production holds based on findings
- Daily usage of measurements; micrometers, calipers to check dimensions with blueprints and technical drawings
- Ensure tools are calibrated and set up properly and according to specifications
- Obtain samples to conduct studies in laboratory for analysis
- Conduct Product and Process audits and LPA (Layered process audits)
Required Qualifications:
- Strong and accurate data entry skills
- Intermediate skills in using Microsoft tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerBI preferred)
- Excellent organization skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated – able to work with minimal supervision
- Use of powered hand tools
- Testing of raw materials and/or finished products, which may or may not include industry standard test methods (e.g. ANSI/ASME measuring standards)
- HS graduate or equivalent
- 1+ years of experience in quality and/or production
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous Experience With Geometric Dimensioning And Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Previous experience with Oracle, SAP or other database management systems
