Intern Tax Winter 2027 | Lincoln at Forvis Mazars US in Lincoln, NE

Summary: Forvis Mazars US is a professional services firm providing assurance, tax, and consulting services. The Tax Winter 2027 Intern will gain hands-on experience on client engagements, prepare tax returns, analyze financial data, and work alongside senior staff and management.

Responsibilities:
- Work with client personnel to reconcile account differences and analyze financial data
- Prepare individual, corporate, partnership, or other tax returns
- Calculate tax extension or estimate payments
- Participate in client meetings alongside Forvis Mazars partners and managers

Required Qualifications:
- Solid technical accounting knowledge
- Effective time management
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work well with a team as well as independently
- Problem-solving attitude
- Willingness to take initiative
- Close attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure and against deadlines
- Intern candidates must be working toward an accounting degree and CPA licensure eligibility
- Must have reliable transportation to and from your assigned office and be able to attend off-site meetings and events in person
- Applicants for positions with Forvis Mazars must be legally authorized to work in the United States

Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong computer skills preferred, including Microsoft Office suite
