In this position…
As a Go To Market Lead (GTM) for Ford Lincoln Protect Portal and Extended Service Plans System (ESPS) with a focus on North American contract sales and registrations processes, you will support the product team by translating business requirements into actionable technical tasks. Your primary focus is to ensure the development team has a clear, well-documented backlog and to assist in the day-to-day management of the product lifecycle. This is a growth-oriented role designed for someone with strong organizational skills who is eager to master Agile methodologies and product strategy. This position is a key member of the Ford Lincoln Protect team and leads system improvement initiatives that attract and retain dealers to the Ford Lincoln Protect brand.
Responsibilities
What You’ll Do…
1. Backlog Support & Execution
User Story Writing: Draft clear and concise user stories that include detailed acceptance criteria.
Backlog Refinement: Assist in the continuous grooming of the product backlog, ensuring tasks are estimated, prioritized, and "ready" for development.
Daily Coordination: Attend daily stand-ups to clarify requirements for the developers and help remove immediate blockers.
Quality Assurance: Perform initial "sanity checks" on completed features to ensure they meet the defined acceptance criteria before the final review. Develop and execute comprehensive test plans to ensure that the business requirements have been met and existing functionality continues to operate as expected (i.e., regression testing).
2. Stakeholder & Requirement Gathering
Information Gathering: Interview stakeholders and users to document their needs and pain points.
Documentation: Maintain product documentation, including feature lists, and user guides.
Status Reporting: Help prepare progress reports and presentations for stakeholders regarding sprint goals and release timelines.
3. Learning & Strategy Contribution
Data Analysis: Monitor basic product metrics and report out findings.
Agile Mastery: Actively participate in Retrospectives and Sprint Planning to improve the team's efficiency and effectiveness
4. Collaboration
Bridge Building: Act as a point of contact between the business and the technical team, ensuring clear communication.
Design Partnership: Work closely with UX/UI designers to ensure wireframes and mockups align with the user stories you have written.
Qualifications
You’ll have…
- Experience: 2 years of experience in project coordination, business analysis, or a role within a software development environment.
- Analytical Capabilities: The ability to analyze complex systems and processes to identify and implement solutions that intuitively add value and optimize efficiencies.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills—the ability to explain "the why" behind a task.
- Detail-Oriented: Exceptional organizational skills; you are the person who notices when a requirement is missing or a deadline is slipping.
- Technical Literacy: Ability to understand technical discussions and a willingness to learn the architecture of the product.
