IT Intern - Summer 2026 at Flex in USA, CA, Milpitas

Summary: Flex is a diversified manufacturing partner that helps market-leading brands design, build, and deliver innovative products. This summer, they are seeking an IT Intern to support various AI and Cybersecurity projects, including data analysis, 3-D modeling, and programming. Responsibilities: - Collaborating with senior data scientists and engineers to understand project requirements and objectives - Conducting data preprocessing and cleaning to prepare datasets for training - Participating in brainstorming sessions to propose innovative solutions - Develop a pilot agent for supporting our Security Operation - Assisting in the documentation of processes - Defining metrics to measure effectiveness, including detection accuracy, analyst efficiency, and response time improvement of the pilot agent - Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery - Providing support for ad-hoc IT and programming tasks as needed - Attend team meetings and support project work as needed Required Qualifications: - Undergrad student currently pursuing Computer Science or related degree - Interest in programming and data analysis - Strong analytic and problem solving skills - Requires knowledge in Python, Javascript and AI coding tools - Highly collaborative, creative and excellent communication skills - Available to work 40 hours/week (in-person) for 10-12 week Summer assignment - Currently enrolled in 4-year accredited university - 3.0 minimum GPA Preferred Qualifications: - Previous internship experience a plus!
