Summary: FlatironDragados is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant who will strategically analyze financial information and prepare accurate reports to support informed business decisions. The role involves compiling financial data, reviewing reconciliations, assisting with audits, and preparing month-end closing schedules. Responsibilities: - Compile and analyze financial information in order to transact journal entries to the general ledger - Review Balance Sheet reconciliations to identify and address action items, facilitating General Ledger cleanup - Review bank reconciliations to identify and address action items in conjunction with AP and Payroll departments - Prepare and reviews intercompany billings, ensuring intercompany accounts are cleared timely and in balance - Identify potential reconciling differences for various accounts and works with the team to resolve differences - Assist in preparation, coordination, and input of month-end closing schedules and entries - Assist with internal and annual external audits - Assist with sales and use tax filings Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field required - Verbal and written communication skills - Developing analytical skills Required Skills: Financial analysis, Journal entries, General ledger, Balance sheet reconciliation, Bank reconciliation, Intercompany billing, Month-end closing, Internal audit, External audit, Sales tax filing, Use tax filing Benefits: Comprehensive compensation package and paid time off program, Industry leading 401(k)/RRSP, Medical/Extended Health Care, Dental, Vision and/or Provincial Medical, Wellness benefits & Employee Assistance Program, Tuition Reimbursement Program
