Construction Engineer I at FlatironDragados in Raleigh, NC

Summary: FlatironDragados is looking for a self-motivated Engineer to join their Construction Engineering Group. As a Construction Engineer, you will draft and analyze temporary works designs, ensuring compliance with contract documents and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities: - Provides technical input on temporary works construction designs to ensure constructability and compliance to project contract specifications - Drafts design plans for temporary works (falsework, shoring, temporary bridges, formwork, slopes, etc.), ensuring completeness and accuracy with regulatory standards and within the contract specifications - Designs temporary construction elements ensuring ease of constructability, cost effectiveness with materials onsite or purchased, balancing between optimization and feasibility of onsite project construction - Submits design for peer review or approval review in an accurate and timely manner to avoid construction delays on the project site - Senior engineer or manager to seal designs following approval review Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Structural or related Engineering field required - Verbal, written and interpersonal skills required Preferred Qualifications: - Engineer in Training (EIT) or Engineer Intern (EI) preferred - Internal Training Crane level I and II preferred - Knowledge of AutoCAD, RIZA suite, LARSA and MathCAD are a plus - Knowledge and skill in technical writing for clear and efficient communication and understanding - Knowledge and understanding of constructability and construction practices Required Skills: Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering Important Skills: AutoCAD, Constructability Knowledge Benefits: Comprehensive compensation package and paid time off program, Industry leading 401(k)/RRSP, Medical/Extended Health Care, Dental, Vision and/or Provincial Medical, Wellness benefits & Employee Assistance Program, Tuition Reimbursement Program
