Freelance Developer – General Roster at Fivestone Studios in Remote

Freelance Developer – General Roster

Freelance Developer – Front-End, Back-End & Game Development (Remote, Worldwide)

We build worlds people can step into. As an agency, a film studio and an immersive studio under one roof, we make everything from flagship experiences that push what's possible to the steady, well-crafted production work that keeps great brands running. We are technologists and craftspeople, but above all we are storytellers, and code is one of the ways we tell the story.

We're building a roster of independent developers we can call on as projects come in. This isn't a single open role. It's an always-open invitation to join our bench.

How the roster works

When a project fits your skills and availability, we reach out with the scope, timeline and rate. Engagements are project-based, and joining the roster doesn't guarantee a set volume of work. Some projects run a week; others run for months.

Who we're looking for

• Front-end developers who care about motion, performance and the details users feel
• Back-end developers who build systems that hold up under real launches
• Game and real-time developers working in engines like Unity or Unreal
• Creative technologists comfortable with WebGL, XR, interactive installations or emerging platforms

What we value

We value people who sweat the craft, communicate early and treat a deadline as a promise. You're comfortable working with directors, designers and producers, and you can explain a technical tradeoff in plain language. You run your own freelance practice and enjoy the independence that comes with it.

Where you are

We welcome independent professionals from anywhere in the world, as long as you're able to work with us as an independent contractor where you live.

Apply

Show us what you've built. Share your GitHub or portfolio, a few work samples and a bit about how you like to work. If it's a fit, we'll add you to the roster and reach out when the right story comes along.
