The Certified Personal Trainer Role
The Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) is the driving force behind member transformation, results, and engagement on the gym floor. Responsible for conducting baseline fitness assessments, designing customized training programs, and delivering high-energy 1-on-1 and small group training sessions, you will empower members to achieve their personal health and fitness goals. Working closely with the Personal Training Manager, you will build a loyal client roster while representing Crunch’s inclusive "No Judgments" culture.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Delivering Results: Conduct comprehensive fitness assessments (including the "CrunchOne Kickoff") and design periodized, goal-oriented programs tailored to each client’s unique needs (weight loss, muscle hypertrophy, athletic performance, functional movement).
- Building Your Business: Actively connect with members on the gym floor, build rapport, conduct complimentary sessions, and convert prospects into long-term personal training clients.
- Excellence in Coaching: Instruct clients on proper technique, movement patterns, and equipment use while providing continuous motivation, accountability, and positive reinforcement.
- Gym Floor Presence: Maintain high visibility on the training floor, support general member needs, maintain safety standards, and keep training zones (including the turf and free weights) clean and organized.
Our Specialized Training Zones & Modalities:
- The HIITZone: Utilize proprietary turf equipment and functional training tools (TRX®, kettlebells, battle ropes, sleds) for high-intensity interval coaching.
- Hot Stuff Studio Integration: Incorporate flexibility, core mobility, and recovery modalities into client programming utilizing infrared heat principles.
- Boxing/SPAR: Integrate striking, mitt work, and boxing drills to boost cardiovascular endurance and functional power.
- Functional & Strength Training: Master resistance training principles across free weights, plate-loaded machines, and bodyweight movements.
The Ideal Personal Trainer Candidate
We are looking for a certified fitness professional who blends top-tier coaching knowledge with charisma, enthusiasm, and an entrepreneurial drive.
You’re the perfect fit if:
- You’re an Inspiring Coach: You have a genuine passion for changing lives and possess the communication skills to connect with people of all fitness levels—from complete beginners to advanced athletes.
- You’re a Business Builder: You are goal-oriented, proactive about connecting with new members, and comfortable communicating the value of personal training packages.
- You’re a Movement Expert: You have a deep understanding of exercise science, anatomy, and program design, allowing you to quickly adapt workouts on the fly.

- CPR/AED: Current CPR/AED certification required (or willingness to obtain prior to hire).
- Degree / Background: A degree in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, or a related field is a plus!
- Schedule Flexibility: Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, or weekends to accommodate client training schedules.
