Data Strategist Location: Johannesburg Job Description The Data Strategist is responsible for shaping how an organization uses data to achieve business goals. They define the data vision, identify high‑value opportunities, determine what data and analytics capabilities are needed, and ensure that insights translate into measurable business and customer outcomes. Are you someone who can: Business Alignment Understand the business strategy around data monetisation Prioritizeinitiatives that directly support revenue growth Opportunity Identification Identify areas where data canfurther create and enhance both business and customer value through continuous feedback among customers, business stakeholders and the product team. Product & Capability Strategy Work closely with data engineers, analysts, and product teams to shape solutions Drive adoption by creating awareness with relevantbusiness stakeholders and customers Insight-to-Action Ensure insights turn into decisions and measurable outcomes for both the business andcustomers Strategic Storytelling Translate complex analytics into clear narratives for mid-corp customers Simplify the “so what?” and guide decision‑making for the customer Providing customer feedback and insight to the product team to inform product development and enhance value creation Governance & Quality Ensure data is trustworthy, compliant, and accessible Support governance frameworks The ideal candidate will have: 3 Year tertiary qualification 4-5 Years' business strategy, direct customer insights and sales.
