Job Description
Summary: First Western Trust is a forward-thinking financial institution committed to excellence and innovation. The Financial Analyst II role provides analytical support for Treasury and Finance functions, focusing on budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance analysis to support business growth.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate, analyze and report financial performance to management, present monthly and year-to-date financials with accompanying analysis of results
- Analyze key performance indicators to identify underlying business issues and provide input for operational and strategic decisions
- Assist in creation of monthly forecasts, review against analyst estimates, provide support to strategic planning and goal achievement
- Support the annual business planning process
- Report weekly loan and deposit growth and summarize largest variances by client
- Run/update the FTP model monthly and address any discrepancies
- Identify and monitor key/strategic clients, client profitability analysis and benchmarking
- Support the internal and external reporting requirements of the Company (management, BOD, SEC, regulatory)
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (required)
- 1–3 years of experience in financial planning and analysis (required)
- Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities
- Knowledge of banking industry fundamentals and macroeconomic trends
- Self‑starter with strong attention to detail and organizational skills
