Summer Finance Intern at First Quality in Great Neck, NY

Summary: First Quality is a family-owned company that has grown significantly over the past 35 years, focusing on high-quality personal care and household products. They are seeking a Summer Finance Intern to gain experience in their corporate finance department, working on real projects and collaborating with senior finance staff. Responsibilities: - Analyze financial results to identify unusual trends and balances, and research such trends and balances - Assist in internal control reviews, reviewing data to identify patterns and/or exceptions - Assist with the monthly financial reporting of the group - Build and maintain Excel worksheets as required to enhance our capabilities - Apply advanced excel queries to review datasets for data cleansing projects - Research competitive financial information and news - Present achievements to leaders at their location at the conclusion of the summer Required Qualifications: - Rising Senior in College or an MBA/Master's level student - Major in Finance, Accounting or other relevant major - Minimum of a 3.0 GPA - Some experience working on relevant academic projects and/or other internships - Highly motivated, a team player, with the ability to multi-task and re-prioritize as necessary - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Some digital literacy and curiosity Required Skills: Finance, Accounting Important Skills: Excel Nice-to-Have Skills: Digital literacy, Verbal communication, Written communication, Team player Benefits: Social events, Facility tours, Lunch and learns with company executives and other interns
