Summary: FinQuery is a global leader in lease accounting and is seeking an AI Systems Engineer to build, test, and maintain AI-powered automation components. This role involves executing automation specifications and developing foundational expertise in agentic builds while ensuring reliable and documented code. Responsibilities: - Execute the development of agentic workflow components including tool integrations, prompt logic, and error handling from engineering specifications - Build and maintain API integrations connecting AI agents to internal systems, third-party SaaS platforms, and databases - Implement observability components within assigned agentic systems including logging, alerting configurations, and exception tracking - Develop and maintain Human-in-the-Loop (HITL) checkpoint logic within defined automation workflows - Coordinate internal testing of assigned automation components and document test cases and results - Maintain technical documentation for assigned builds including code comments, architecture notes, and runbook contributions - Support process audit activities by gathering and organizing workflow data, system logs, and integration details - Conduct all business in accordance with company policies and procedures - Perform all other duties as assigned Required Qualifications: - Typically requires 1–5 years of professional experience - Working proficiency in Python with the ability to write clean and functional scripts - Exposure to at least one LLM framework or AI tool such as LangChain, OpenAI API, or LlamaIndex - Foundational API integration skills using REST and familiarity with authentication basics - Basic SQL proficiency with the ability to write queries and understand data schemas - Experience using version control such as Git for branching, committing, and pull requests - Familiarity with cloud environments including AWS, Azure, or GCP at a conceptual level - Ability to follow and implement defined engineering specifications accurately - Developing ability to read and interpret system logs and performance data to identify anomalies - Strong collaboration skills with the ability to ask clear and specific questions to resolve blockers - Ability to write clear and accurate technical documentation Preferred Qualifications: - Preferred 1–3 years of software development or technical engineering experience with exposure to Python and API integration - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field preferred - Equivalent experience or bootcamp training considered Required Skills: Python, API integration, LLM frameworks, LangChain, OpenAI API, LlamaIndex, REST, Authentication basics, SQL, Git, AWS, Azure, GCP Benefits: Annual employee development program stipend of $2,000 for each employee, Mentorship program (available immediately), Sabbatical program (4 weeks after 5 years of service), Advancement opportunities based on results, not politics, 401(k) plan with employer matching, Signing stipend for a work-from-home setup, Great health benefits with multiple plan option, Flexible PTO (including 11 holidays and your birthday off), Free gym membership at our office (Atlanta HQ), Casual dress environment (when in office), Catered lunches every Tuesday & Thursday (when in office), Parental Leave Benefits, Fertility/Adoption Assistance, Annual tutoring stipend for your children
