Job Description
Summary: FieldCore is looking for an exceptional Turbine Mechanic to join their craft field team. The primary responsibility of the Turbine Mechanic is to safely accomplish the installation, maintenance, and repair of heavy rotating machinery used mainly in power generation applications.
Responsibilities:
- Dismantle, assemble, move and align, machinery and equipment using: hoists, cranes, chain falls, hand tools, power tools, pneumatic and hydraulic tools, micrometers, rules, squares, plumb bobs, dial indicators and/or laser alignment equipment
- Read blueprints, schematic drawings and technical documentation to determine proper work procedures
- Responsible for shipping and receiving all major pieces for T&DC, plus all shipping, receiving, inventory, and control of tools, equipment and supplies
- Perform material and machine inspections using precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, rules, calipers, protractors, and torque wrenches
- Perform machining and welding operations for making various parts for lab and shop training equipment
- Determine equipment specifications and prepare parts lists for purchasing, consisting of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic devices as needed to complete assigned projects
- Load, transport, and unload materials, tools, equipment and supplies and perform mechanical and electrical maintenance and repairs as needed
- Read blueprints, schematic drawings and technical documentation to determine proper work procedures
- Install machinery and equipment according to layout plans, blueprints and other drawings in industrial establishments
- Ability and willingness to work holidays, weekends and overtime as required by field assignments
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of one (1) years' experience maintaining Gas or Steam Turbines
- Minimum of one (1) years' experience maintaining, dismantling, and installing machinery and industrial service equipment including various pumps, motors, fans, and generators
- Valid Driver's License
- Ability and willingness to work holidays, weekends and overtime as required by field assignments
- 100% travel is required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Degree/Associate Degree in Technical Field or Gas Turbine Systems
- Willing to work 12 hours on Day or Night Shift
