The Expertise You Have Have at least a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent, with a preference for advanced study Minimum 5 years of professional development experience Demonstrated skill in Java, Spring and Spring Boot, RESTful services, Kafka, asynchronous/multithreaded programming, and have proven expertise in major provider cloud technologies, with a preference for AWS Willingness to guide and mentor junior team members on solid engineering practices Previous exposure to trading systems or brokerage technology Familiarity with SQL and RDBMS interactions Knowledge of the FIX protocol is a plus Exposure to Mainframe technologies a plus The Skills You Bring Effective analytical, communication, and organizational skills and a willingness to run with multiple tasks at a given time Thrive in a team environment, collaborating openly and actively contributing Able to innovate independently and work with leadership on multiple fronts Familiarity with event driven and service-oriented processing is required Demonstrated work experience with cloud technologies. Industry certifications are welcome, but hands on experience and expertise are better An eye for detail and a skill for root cause analysis in diagnosing and mitigating production problems as quickly as possible in a dynamic, high value environment The Value you Deliver Deliver high quality, timely, cost effective and maintainable software solutions in an agile environment to meet functional and non-functional business requirements Actively contribute to the improvement of engineering practices such as code and design reviews, cloud strategy, and build and deployment pipelines Work with squad lead and team tech lead on a frequent, recurring basis to design and implement novel solutions to complicated problems Able to clearly present complex technical solutions, ideas, and plans to management, program teams, and less technical stakeholders as needed Develop an understanding of the business domain you are working on and contribute to technology discussions with business partners and other external parties Investigate creative practices and help decide how to apply them within the team. The base salary range for this position is $97,000-185,000 USD per year. Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors. Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
