Principal, Data Analyst – DSCO - Grade 6
The Role
As a Principal, Data Analyst, you will work closely with the product and technical teams to drive the creation of scalable, flexible, well governed, and detailed data analysis and modeling solutions across different projects. You will drive the adoption of enterprise and industry standard modeling methodologies. You will work as part of a team to help deliver data as a key asset for Asset Management Technology.
Data Requirements & Analysis: Understand and gather business requirements, define use cases, analyze data gaps, and recommend appropriate solutions.
Data Design & Visualization: define conceptual and logical data models to capture data needs. Apply modeling tools and techniques for various types of operational systems, data warehouses, and data lakes.
Technical Leadership: Provide expertise in effective implementation of data models and building of common data access services. Apply knowledge for complex data gathering, analysis, and reporting on data for large organizations. Act as data steward to understand and document our data, usage and help Asset Management derive maximum value.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
This role requires an experienced Data Analyst to lead data modeling and analysis across a series of complex project in an highly integrated data environment. You must be able to work in a fast-paced environment to develop high-quality data model, analysis, and other data artifacts with a focus on timely delivery.
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analysis or equivalent experience.
Demonstrated experience in Database Management Systems, Data API design and implementation, PL/SQL, warehouses, data modeling and data profiling.
Developed understanding of the database development process including analysis, design, coding, testing, resolution and planning.
Competent in all relevant coding environments, languages, tools, and platforms.
Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Understanding of principles and standard methodologies related to Data Architecture.
Experience working in data management and governance with an understanding of data ingestion, storage and maintenance.
Ability to prioritize data analysis initiatives based on business and product criticality
Experience in financial services industry is a plus.
