Director, Product Lead - Equity Location: Galway, Ireland Job Description: Director, Product Lead - Grade 7 - Equity As a Product Lead for Trading Technology, you will play a critical role in shaping and delivering technology capabilities that support Equity, High Income, and Fixed Income trading workflows. You will partner closely with business, and engineering teams to translate strategic priorities into actionable roadmaps, manage day‑to‑day execution, and ensure high‑quality deliveary of key platform enhancements. You will be accountable for understanding trader and portfolio manager needs, supporting modernization initiatives, coordinating cross-team dependencies, and driving continuous improvement across trading technology platforms. This role requires strong analytical skills, familiarity with trading workflows, and the ability to influence and collaborate across diverse stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Product Execution & Delivery Lead the execution of the product roadmap for common trading capabilities with a focus on broker interaction, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives. Translate business requirements into clear feature definitions, user stories, and acceptance criteria for engineering teams. Manage backlog prioritization, sprint planning, and day‑to‑day product team activities to support predictable, high‑quality delivery. Monitor delivery progress, resolve blockers, and ensure timely implementation of enhancements and fixes. Stakeholder Partnership Build strong relationships with traders, portfolio managers, operations, and technology partners to gather feedback and ensure solutions meet business needs. Communicate status, risks, and dependencies to product leadership and business stakeholders. Assist in preparing materials for senior leadership updates, roadmap reviews, and governance forums. Domain Expertise & Analysis Develop a deep understanding of trading workflows, regulatory requirements, and system capabilities across Equity, High Income, and Fixed Income products. Conduct data-driven analysis to identify optimization opportunities, improve user experience, and support scalability. Quality & Risk Management Ensure delivery teams follow required controls, testing standards, and resiliency practices. Partner with architecture, risk, and compliance teams to support adherence to regulatory and operational guidelines. Innovation & Continuous Improvement Support modernization initiatives by identifying opportunities for automation, enhanced data use, and adoption of emerging technologies. Contribute to the evolution of product management best practices across the team. Team Collaboration & Leadership Provide mentorship and guidance to associate product managers or analysts as needed. Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performance team environment. The Expertise and Skills You Bring Industry Experience: 5–7+ years in financial services or technology, with exposure to trading systems, order management platforms, or investment workflows. Education: Bachelor’s degree required; relevant certifications or advanced coursework preferred. Product Management Skills: Demonstrated experience in feature definition, requirements gathering, backlog management, and agile delivery. Technical & Analytical Skills: Ability to understand complex systems, perform analysis, and translate business problems into technology solutions. Stakeholder Engagement: Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with business and technology partners.
