Job Description Summary:
Under the direction of the Director of Risk Management, the Temporary (estimated 1 year) Risk Management Assistant is responsible for providing administrative and data management support. The role helps maintain accurate insurance records, supports intake and conflicts related workflows, and assists with ongoing process improvement initiatives.Innovation isn't a department here — it's a mindset. This position is based in our New York, NY office and offers a hybrid schedule which requires at least 1 day onsite per week in your designated office with the possibility of additional required in-office days depending on business needs. The work schedule for this position (non-exempt) will be 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday, from 9:00 am - 6:00 pm.
Job Description:
- File, organize, and clean up insurance records and related documentation.
- Support data management for conflicts checks, lateral matters, and intake administrative processes.
- De-duplicate ECFs and help maintain data quality standards.
- Assist with matter closures and termination processes, including record updates and follow-through.
- Support testing and validation for efficiency-initiative projects currently in progress.
- Help track and follow up on 83(b) filing documentation and status as needed.
- Performs other Risk Management related projects and tasks as assigned.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- Requires good computer skills (knowledge of MS Office applications preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify duplicates, inconsistencies, and missing information.
- Comfort working with spreadsheets, databases, and document management systems.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, follow defined processes, and meet deadlines.
- Professional written and verbal communication; proactive follow-up and issue spotting.
- Discretion and ability to handle sensitive or confidential information.
Reporting to the Director of Risk Management, the ideal candidate will have excellent data entry skills and is detail oriented. A college degree and/or 1 to 2 years of law firm administration experience are preferred.

The anticipated range for this position is:
$57,000 - $77,250Depending on the role, the actual base salary offered may depend upon a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
A discretionary bonus for eligible employees may also be available based on performance. Additional information about employee eligibility for benefits and discretionary bonus will be made available upon request.
