Job Description
Summary: Fairfield Residential is a leader in the multifamily housing industry, dedicated to creating exceptional apartment living. The Financial Analyst – Portfolio Management will play a crucial role in forecasting, valuation, market analysis, and reporting for the company's funds and joint ventures, collaborating closely with portfolio and asset managers to ensure informed investment strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Support monitoring of asset performance and variances
- Assist with forecasting against budget and proforma
- Help identify performance trends and market patterns
- Build complex models, valuations, and projections
- Prepare sensitivity analyses and financial summaries
- Conduct market and performance ranking research
- Contribute to internal and investor reporting packages
- Develop presentation materials for senior leadership
- Assist with special reports and analysis as needed
- Work with portfolio and asset managers to inform business plans
- Coordinate with multiple teams to support decision-making
- Assist with special projects requiring financial insight
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university required, with a preferred major focus in finance, accounting, or real estate
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel is required (knowledge of macros is a plus), as well as working knowledge of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
- Complete understanding of basic financial concepts such as IRRs, NPVs, time value of money, etc
- Desire to learn and grow professionally in the commercial real estate industry
- Outstanding organizational skills and ability to work under pressure to meet multiple deadlines
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA is a plus but is not required
- Preferred 1+ years of work experience in commercial real estate, financial analysis, accounting, or related fields
- Financial modeling experience is preferred
- Experience with Argus and Business software a plus
