Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Quality Manager to oversee quality assurance, quality control, and food safety across our food manufacturing operations. The successful candidate will ensure products meet established quality standards, comply with regulatory requirements, and maintain high levels of product safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain quality management and food safety systems, including GMP, HACCP, ISO 22000, and FSSC 22000.
• Ensure compliance with NAFDAC, SON, and other applicable food industry regulations.
• Oversee quality inspections, laboratory testing, and approval of raw materials, packaging, and finished products.
• Manage internal audits, regulatory inspections, customer audits, and corrective and preventive actions.
• Establish supplier quality standards and monitor incoming materials.
• Investigate customer complaints, product defects, and non-conformances, ensuring effective root cause analysis and resolution.
• Maintain product traceability, recall procedures, laboratory standards, and equipment calibration.
• Lead and develop the quality team and train employees on food safety, hygiene, and quality procedures.
• Monitor quality performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste and product rejection.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science and Technology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, or a related field.
• 8–10 years of experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Control within food manufacturing or FMCG, including at least 3 years in a managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of GMP, HACCP, ISO 22000, FSSC 22000, and food safety regulations.
• Proven experience with NAFDAC compliance, regulatory inspections, and customer audits.
• HACCP and ISO 22000/FSSC 22000 certification is strongly preferred; auditor certification is an advantage.
• Excellent leadership, analytical, problem-solving, communication, and reporting skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant quality management or ERP systems.

Working Conditions

The role is based in a manufacturing plant in Makun city, Lagos-Ibadan expressway and may require extended hours, shifts, or weekend work depending on production needs.
