Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Conduct Vision Tests: Perform comprehensive eye exams to evaluate visual needs and detect any eye-related conditions.
Prescription of Lenses: Accurately prescribe corrective lenses, including glasses and contact lenses, based on patient needs.
Optical Sales: Advise and sell appropriate eyewear products, including frames and lenses, tailored to the patients lifestyle and preferences.
Customer Consultations: Provide professional advice on eyewear choices, frame styles, and lens types.
Maintain Optical Equipment: Ensure all optical equipment is well-maintained and properly calibrated.
Product Knowledge: Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in eyewear and eye care products.
Store Operations: Assist in daily store operations, including inventory management, order processing, and maintaining visual merchandising standards.
After-Sales Support: Provide follow-up consultations to ensure patient satisfaction and proper use of eyewear products.
Training: Assist in training sales staff on optical products and sales techniques.

Preferred candidate profile

Education: Bachelors in Optometry.
Experience: 2-5 years of experience in optometry (clinical setting) or optical sales is preferred.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication and customer service skills.
Sales Acumen: Experience or interest in retail sales, with the ability to upsell products and provide product recommendations.
Attention to Detail: Accuracy in conducting eye exams and ensuring precise prescriptions.
Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adjust to customer needs.
Team Player: Willingness to collaborate with the sales team and contribute to store success.
