Staff Detail oriented with understanding of managing statutory audit and financial statements preparation, flux analysis. The role requires demonstrated ability to communicate properly and understand technical accounting issues and audit queries.
The opportunity
Staff ACOE will play a critical role in supporting end-to-end audit, preparation of financial statements including notes to accounts in compliance with accounting standards, current and deferred tax computation, and timely submission of ad-hoc deliverables for the client. The ideal candidate has strong technical accounting skills, is detail-oriented, and possesses ability to effectively manage the statutory reporting function for the client.
Your key responsibilities
- Efficiently manage the stat audit support activities ensuring minimum to no discrepancies during the audit process
- Meticulous adherence to the compliance calendar of client to ensure smooth closure of audit within the agreed deadlines
- Prepare financial statements including notes to accounts in line with various accounting standards such as IAS, IFRS
- Preparation of current and deferred tax computation as per basic tax principles
- Conduct in-depth technical accounting research, with a primary focus on complex topics such as revenue recognition, ECL provision, Intercompany reconciliation and lease accounting
- Perform variance analysis for YTY and YTD variances
- Understand audit queries and provide responses quickly to the satisfaction of auditor
- Collection and review of sample support, understanding audit requirement and preparing sample documentation to reduce audit follow up queries.
- Serve as the single point of contact and trusted advisor for country controllers, country teams, auditors’ and multiple other stakeholders.
- Perform other ad-hoc tasks as and when required
- Effectively communicating risks and issues as necessary to manager group
- Actively adapt to working style of a high-performance and collaborative team
Skills and attributes for success
- Hands on working with large ERP (SAP preferred)
- Strong exposure of working with MS tools like Excel, Word etc.
- Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills
- Strong client and stakeholder management skills
- Self motivated, aspirational, and result oriented
To qualify for the role, you must have
- Chartered Accountant (CA/ACCA/CPA) with 0 - 2 years of post-qualification work experience.
- Strong technical knowledge of Indian Accounting Standards (IFRS and US GAAP exposure is a plus)
- Basic understanding of direct and indirect taxes
- Exposure to preparation of financial statements including notes to accounts.Role & responsibilities
