Summary: Exus Renewables North America is a leading independent developer and operator of utility-scale renewable energy projects, dedicated to advancing clean energy solutions across the United States. They are seeking a Project Finance Intern to support the financing of renewable energy projects while gaining hands-on exposure to financial modeling, compliance, and deal execution. Responsibilities: - Assist in building, updating, and auditing financial models for solar, wind, and battery storage projects - Support project-level budgeting and financial analysis - Conduct sensitivity analyses on various financing assumptions - Assist in preparing materials for lenders, tax equity investors, and internal committees - Support due diligence processes, including data room organization and financial document review - Analyze project Agreements and key project contracts from a financial perspective, such as PPAs (Power Purchase Agreements), Term Sheets, Financing Agreements, tax equity documents, etc - Stay up to date on renewable energy policies, financing trends, tax regulations, and market trends impacting the industry - Work collaboratively with project development, origination, M&A, and due tax teams to ensure successful deal execution Required Qualifications: - Junior, Senior, or Graduate student currently enrolled at an accredited college or university - Pursuing a degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field - Strong interest in renewable energy and infrastructure finance - Strong analytical skills with a proficiency in Microsoft Excel (financial modeling experience preferred) - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills - Ability to work from the Exus New York office for the duration of the internship Preferred Qualifications: - Prior coursework or experience in corporate finance, project finance, or financial modeling preferred - Familiarity with renewable energy markets or tax credit structures preferred Required Skills: Financial modeling, Project finance Important Skills: Renewable energy knowledge, Analytical skills Nice-to-Have Skills: Microsoft Excel
