Why Explore Learning?

Maths and English Tutor Leicester

Inspire learning. Build confidence. Change children’s lives.

For 25 years, Explore Learning has helped children across the UK thrive through expert tuition, innovative learning tools, and the dedication of our incredible people. We offer a truly individualised approach to tuition: our learning platform Compass follows each child’s pace of learning and adapts in real time, meaning our tutors can stretch or scaffold to enable meaningful progress.

While our award-winning platform takes us far, it’s our tutors who truly bring learning to life by building confidence, inspiring curiosity, and delivering the meaningful learning experiences that make a lasting difference.

If you’re looking for the chance to learn quickly through hands-on experience, supported by a team that’s invested in your growth, this is the role for you.

The Role

Our tutors act as coaches and mentors, not just instructors, supporting each learner’s progress with care and purpose.

As a tutor, you’ll play a key role in every child’s learning journey by:

Delivering lessons that last: Using our smart learning tool, Compass, you’ll deliver tailored sessions where you facilitate learning through questioning, scaffolding and stretching.

Building meaningful relationships: With a 1:6 ratio, you’ll get to know each child and create a safe, inspiring environment where they can take risks and develop a lifelong love of learning.

Driving academic progress: Support members as they work through the national curriculum, entrance exams, and GCSE preparation, celebrating milestones and successes along the way.

You'll thrive as an Explore Learning tutor if you:

• Are confident leading sessions with small groups (1:6), inspiring children to engage in their learning, using positive behaviour management strategies, and consistently prioritising their safety and wellbeing.

• Feel comfortable supporting children aged 4–16 across the national curriculum, including 11+ entrance exams and GCSE content.

• Are committed to building meaningful, long-term relationships, providing the consistency and stability that helps children thrive.

Why Join Explore Learning?

Make a real impact: Leave every session knowing you’ve helped children grow in confidence, develop key skills, and build a love of learning that lasts.

Focus on what matters: With lessons and materials already prepared in Compass, you can focus on tutoring and nurturing your members, rather than planning resources.

Grow and develop: Accelerate your skills through hands-on tutoring and ongoing development as you build confidence as an educator.

Work in a supportive team: Thrive in a collaborative, close-knit team where passionate tutors work together to deliver exceptional learning.
