Primary Purpose

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

To inspect, in accordance with Company safety rules and instructions, the overhead distribution and transmission systems and make recommendations in connection; to determine the extent of maintenance work to be done consistent with Company policy; when recommending installation of tree wire, to determine amount together with sufficient field date for preparation of work orders; to inspect service stations and make recommendations concerning them; to inspect street lighting circuits and prepare routines including recommendations for sectionalizing points; to report promptly any conditions that constitute a hazard to employees or to the public; to follow progress of public improvements or other work by persons outside the Company which might endanger Company equipment or service; to perform related duties as assigned.

• ELIGIBITY RULES FOR INTERNAL BIDDERS if posted as Promotion: This job is not part of any promotional series and open to anyone who meets the minimum job requirements and eligibility rules for the job classification. - OH employees (OE, OES, CL and Inspector) are eligible for Maintenance Inspector. - If the openings are not filled from the selection call, Local 15 and the company will discuss next steps. - The rate of pay will be the maximum rate for the Maintenance Inspector - Employees will no longer be in the Overhead Promotional Series and will not be eligible to apply for OH postings in the future - Employees will be eligible to bid on future postings for Senior Maintenance Inspector

• Must have Valid Driver's License.
• Considerable previous experience in first class line work; knowledge of materials and construction standards and specifications; thorough knowledge of company maintenance policies and conditions governing maintenance of company-owned facilities and joint facilities.
