IMMEDIATE REMOTE TEMP Maintenance Technician – Technical Support Representative needed for a well-known manufacturing company specializing in consumer goods for heating, cooling, and refrigeration products on both the residential and commercial side. This position is a temporary role, with an ability to become a permanent employee based on performance.

The Maintenance Technician – Technical Support Representative will use their previous hands-on maintenance and troubleshooting experience to assist customers virtually and over the phone with diagnosing and troubleshooting hot water heater equipment. This individual will be trained on the company’s products and will provide knowledgeable technical assistance to customers, contractors, and service professionals experiencing product operation, service, and installation issues.

To be selected, candidates will need at least 1 year of previous Maintenance Technician experience, with a strong understanding of mechanical and/or electrical troubleshooting and the ability to diagnose equipment issues. Candidates must be able to read, write, and comprehend technical instructions, manuals, and product information and confidently communicate technical information to customers over the phone. Previous experience troubleshooting water heaters, HVAC equipment, boilers, pumps, or other mechanical/electrical equipment is highly preferred.

This is not a physical maintenance position. Candidates will be taking their previous maintenance knowledge and applying it in a customer-facing technical support environment, in a work from home setting, helping customers troubleshoot equipment remotely.
