2 Openings - 1 in Los Angels area and 1 in South Orange County - Both HYBRID - On-Site 1-2 days Remote 3 - 4 days per week. Join our dynamic team as a Sr IBM i - AS400 - RPG Programmer Analyst, where you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining robust enterprise systems. This hybrid position offers the flexibility to work both remotely and on-site in the LA & Orange Counties, empowering you to contribute to innovative solutions that drive business success. Your expertise will help streamline operations, enhance system performance, and support scalable growth across diverse platforms.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and implement RPG programs on the IBM i (AS400) platform, ensuring high performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze system requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
• Maintain and enhance existing applications using RPG, CL, SQL, RDi and other relevant languages to optimize functionality.
• Design and develop APIs and web services to facilitate seamless integration with front-end applications and third-party systems.
• Document system processes, workflows, and technical specifications clearly for future reference and compliance purposes.

Hybrid - Sr. Programmer Analyst - One for Orange County, one for Los Angeles. Work remote 3-4 days per week. Both are in the range of $115,000 to $125,000. Must have 10+ years of experience with RPG-ILE and should have modern RPG Free, SQL, Service Programs, WDSC/RDi/RDP. South Orange County would like some JD Edwards World since their JDE person is retiring in the next year. Be willing to learn their JDE apps the interface with their retail software and take over support from their JDE Programmer. Must be comfortable and reliable to support users remotely 4 days a week. Should be someone who likes to learn either on their own, webinars, explore new tools. The Los Angels area company is a logistics company supporting customers world wide with 12 regional office across the USA. Must be a seasoned team player, able to successfully plan and implement projects with minimal supervision. Skills

• Extensive experience with IBM i (AS400) systems and RPG programming language; familiarity with CL (Control Language) is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of application development using modern web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript,
• Proficiency in database management with relational databases like IBM DB2, SQL including database design and optimization.
• Knowledge of software engineering best practices including SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle)
