Job Description
Summary: Exact Sciences is revolutionizing the cancer diagnostics space and is now looking for a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join its incredible team. The SRE will support the mission by implementing new features and applications, collaborating with developers and operations, and maintaining critical infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
- Discover new trends and best practices in the industry and work to implement them
- Build and maintain monitoring solutions that keep our Operations teams ahead of any incident before they happen
- Experiment with new AWS offerings that can one day be used to improve current systems
- Continually challenge the status quo, by utilizing automation and finding solutions to repetitive processes
- Collaborate with senior engineers to design seamless CICD Pipelines in Gitlab
- Practice sustainable incident response and blameless postmortems by participating in the on-call rotation
- Collaborate across the development teams to share knowledge and support new projects
- Troubleshoot complex problems using everything in your mental toolkit to find a solution
- Ability to travel 10% of working time away from work location, may include overnight/weekend travel
- Uphold company mission and values through accountability, innovation, integrity, quality, and teamwork
- Support and comply with the company’s Quality Management System policies and procedures
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance
- Ability to act with an inclusion mindset and model these behaviors for the organization
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- Basic experience with one or more high-level programming languages
- Basic experience with building problem-solving solutions in AWS
- Strong experience troubleshooting complex systems
- Demonstrated ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience designing/developing cloud-centric systems using Terraform IaC
- Ability to debug/optimize code and automate routine tasks
- Drive to collaborate in a team
- 1+ years of Internship experience
