QC Associate Scientist - Site Based, Redmond, WA at Evotec · Seattle

They are seeking a QC Associate Scientist to perform routine and non-routine QC sample management operations in support of GMP manufacturing activities for biotherapeutic products. Responsibilities: - Perform routine and non-routine QC sample management operations; handle test samples throughout the sample lifecycle: receipt, storage, distribution, transfer, and disposal. Facilitate cold chain transfers of samples - Ensure samples and materials are appropriately labelled and maintain sample tracking, labelling and chain of custody records in accordance with regulatory requirements and written procedures - Maintain inventory and distribution of QC samples and materials to functional groups as scheduled or requested - Ensure timely and accurate completion of GMP documentation - Record performance metrics for the sample management group - Support identification and implementation of process efficiencies - Communicate effectively with management regarding task completion, roadblocks, and needs - Maintain laboratory cleanliness and organization through routine disinfection of laboratory surfaces and equipment, inventory management, and participation in 5S activities - Perform all work in compliance with site quality, and safety guidelines - Create, maintain, and revise SOPs, methods and associated documents - Support all operations of the QC labs including the ordering supplies and maintaining laboratory equipment and lab spaces - Support client audit/inspection readiness plans and interact with regulatory agencies during inspections on sample management related matters - Participate in daily and weekly operation meetings Required Qualifications: - BS in Biology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Chemistry or related field and 0-3 years' experience - Laboratory experience with sample handling/management - High attention to detail and organized - Experience with Microsoft Office apps (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Required Skills: GMP, QC sample management, Laboratory sample handling, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, SOP creation and revision Benefits: Discretionary annual bonus, Comprehensive benefits to include Medical, Dental and Vision, Short-term and long-term disability, Company paid basic life insurance, 401k company match, Generous paid time off and paid holiday, Wellness and transportation benefits
