Summary: Everlaw is a leading company in legal technology, seeking a Data Analyst to transform raw data into actionable insights for their leadership. The role involves collaborating with various teams to monitor product performance and ensure data quality while building intuitive dashboards. Responsibilities: - Familiarize yourself with our technologies, workflows, and codebase through extensive training and product certification - Transform large datasets into actionable metrics and attributes using SQL and Spark - Explore and develop the right repeatable methods for mining insight from large unstructured datasets, leveraging a variety of tools spanning Jupyter notebooks, Looker, and Heap - Design and surface metrics that are faithful and precise, while helping the business understand how to drive those metrics - Build out the data context layer (schemas, metric definitions, institutional knowledge, etc.) to power agentic analytics workflows - Advise business teams on how to implement scalable, robust telemetry and analytics tracking Required Qualifications: - A Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related technical discipline - Up to 4 years of experience (including internships) turning large datasets into actionable business insights - Experience and proficiency wrangling data using SQL - Experience and proficiency in applying scientific programming languages (Python, R, Julia, etc.) to data analysis problems - Understanding of the fundamentals of relational databases and data modeling - Strong foundation of statistical methods and probability theory - Excellent communication and presentation skills, especially in translating technical information to non-technical audiences Preferred Qualifications: - Experience working with common open source analytics tools such as Airflow or DBT - Experience working with distributed processing technologies such as Spark or MapReduce - Experience applying machine learning or statistical modeling methods to real world problems - Familiar with Git or a similar DVCS Required Skills: SQL, Spark, Python, R, Julia, Jupyter notebooks, Looker, Heap, Relational databases, Data modeling, Statistical methods, Probability theory, Airflow, DBT, MapReduce, Machine learning, Statistical modeling, Git Benefits: Equity program, 401(k) retirement plan with company matching, Health, dental, and vision, Flexible Spending Accounts for health and dependent care expenses, Paid parental leave and approximately 10 days (80 hours) per year of sick leave, Seventeen paid vacation days plus 11 federal holidays, Membership to Modern Health to help employees prioritize mental health and wellness, Annual allocation for Learning & Development opportunities and applicable professional membership dues, Company-sponsored life and disability insurance
