Job Description
Summary: EverCommerce is on a mission to digitally transform the service economy with tailored SaaS solutions. They are seeking a Software Engineer Intern to join the DrChrono Practice Engineering Team, where the intern will work on building and improving features of their healthcare technology platform.
Responsibilities:
- Building or improving features within the DrChrono EHR and Practice Management platform
- Developing backend services or APIs that power clinical and operational workflows
- Improving performance, reliability, or observability of existing systems
- Implementing UI improvements in collaboration with product and design
- Writing automated tests and contributing to CI/CD pipelines
- Working with engineers to troubleshoot production issues and improve system resilience
- Sprint planning and backlog refinement
- Code reviews
- Technical design discussions
- Demoing completed work to the team
Required Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
- Data structures and algorithms
- Object-oriented programming
- Experience with Python, React, Node.js, and/or Django
- Experience building web applications or APIs
- Experience with Git or collaborative development workflows
- Interest in healthcare technology and SaaS platforms
- Exercise discretion and good judgment and maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information
- Positive attitude approaching any task no matter how big/small
- Approaches projects with creativity and is willing to think outside of the box
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner
- Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Willing to travel for Denver, Colorado for the intern kickoff week and possibly the Intern executive presentations
Preferred Qualifications:
- Rising juniors and seniors pursuing a bachelor's degree from an accredited university
- Applicants to be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis from June to August 2026
- Must be willing to commit to a 10-week internship the Summer of 2026 (June-August) on a full-time basis
- Enthusiastic about technology and committed to professional development
- Willing to learn and collaborate with your teammates
