Position Overview
The Operations Intern will support the execution and continuous improvement of operational processes across Eurofins Medical Device Services. This role provides hands-on exposure to business operations, project coordination, data management, and performance tracking within a regulated and highly technical environment.
The intern will primarily support the Operations Strategist in driving process efficiency, reporting visibility, and system optimization, while also assisting Client Portfolio Managers and Project Services Coordinators in maintaining accurate project and portfolio data.
This role is ideal for a student pursuing a degree in Business, Data Science, Industrial Engineering, or Operations Management who is interested in applying data-driven thinking to real-world operational challenges.
Key Responsibilities
Operations and Process Support
Support the development, documentation, and improvement of operational workflows and processes
Assist in maintaining standard operating procedures, templates, and playbooks
Help identify inefficiencies in project setup, tracking, and execution workflows
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across Medical Device Services
Data Management and Reporting
Assist in building and maintaining dashboards and reports such as Power BI and Excel to improve visibility into project status, portfolio performance, and operational KPIs
Support data validation and reconciliation across systems including CRM, LIMS, and other tools
Help establish and maintain a centralized reporting hub for operational insights
CRM and Sales Data Integrity
Support initiatives to improve CRM data quality, completeness, and consistency
Help enforce best practices for opportunity tracking, pipeline management, and project linkage
Partner with Sales, Client Portfolio Managers, and Operations to ensure accurate capture of opportunities, wins and losses, and project transitions from sales to execution
Assist in identifying gaps or inconsistencies in CRM data and driving corrective actions
Project and Portfolio Coordination Support
Support Client Portfolio Managers and Project Services Coordinators in maintaining accurate project records, timelines, and tracking tools
Assist with project setup validation including quotes, purchase orders, scope alignment, and system entries
Help track action items, risks, and milestones across active projects
Contribute to improving portfolio visibility and data integrity across accounts
Operational Analytics and Insights
Analyze operational and sales data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities
Support forecasting, backlog tracking, and performance measurement initiatives
Assist in developing data-driven recommendations to improve efficiency and decision-making
Cross Functional Collaboration
Work across Operations, Sales, Finance, and Technical teams to support aligned execution
Participate in internal meetings and contribute to action tracking and follow-up
Support alignment between business development activities and operational delivery
Success Metrics (KPIs)
Accuracy and completeness of CRM and project data
Improved visibility into operational and portfolio performance
Reduction in data discrepancies and reporting gaps
Adoption of CRM and reporting best practices
Timely support of project setup and tracking activities

qualifications
Qualifications
Required
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Data Science, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or related field
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
High attention to detail and organizational skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred
Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau
Familiarity with CRM systems such as Microsoft Dynamics or Salesforce
Exposure to project management tools or methodologies
Interest in healthcare, life sciences, or regulated industries
