jobDescription
The Financial Analyst is responsible for the complete billing cycle including invoice generation, submission, and payment collection in accordance with customer payment terms. In addition, the Financial Analyst performs reconciliations to ensure complete and accurate financial results.
Key Accountabilities
Manage all aspects of the invoice process including data uploads, invoice generation, approvals, and invoice submission to customers in a timely manner
Respond to customer and internal invoice queries in a timely and professional manner
Prepare customer credit memos as needed after proper investigation into the validity of credit requests
Update invoicing system with new price information
Prepare monthly revenue file after invoice generation
Ensure customers are paying invoices in a timely manner in accordance with customer payment terms by tracking and following up as needed on the invoices
Identify the root cause of non-payment and make recommendations to the Associate Director, Finance to drive payment resolution
Ensure compliance with budget DSO (days sales outstanding) and NWC (net working capital) metrics
Audit new and existing studies for the accurate and complete pricing and billing of services and take adequate measures to maximize efficient collection of revenues for all studies
Maintain limited budget database for budget and invoicing tracking
Perform any ad hoc financial analysis or reports as requested by the Associate Director, Finance and Business Partnering
qualifications
Experience
Minimum of 1 year working in business environment
Education
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or business administration is preferred
Skills
Driven by quality, strong attention to detail
Energetic and enthusiastic person
Excellent communication skills with a focus on (in/external) client satisfaction
Strong organizational skills
Significant experience with Microsoft Excel
Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
