Formulation Scientist at Eurofins in Rahway, NJ

Summary: Eurofins is an international life sciences company focused on providing analytical testing services across multiple industries. The Formulation Scientist will support the Client Sterile and Specialty Products team by working on project tasks related to sterile product development and formulation composition. Responsibilities: - Ability to prepare common vehicles and reagents - Ability to measure solubility in buffers, bio-relevant medium & organic solvents - Ability to prepare formulations or conduct other processing steps under aseptic conditions - Ability to execute formulation development experiments, including processing support for solution, lyophilized and particulate based formulations or other preparation techniques as required - Ability to prepare formulations under aseptic and GLP conditions - Ability to perform basic analysis, including pH, osmolality, particle size measurements and HPLC - Ability to keep clear and accurate laboratory records - Ability to support the maintenance of the laboratory working environment - Ability to work safely complying with all safety policies - Ability to work as part of a team on complex formulation development projects - Ability to interface with operations personnel, management, and other scientific professionals Required Qualifications: - BS or MS degree or equivalent in Pharmaceutical Sciences, biochemistry, Chemistry or a related field is required - At least 1 year of pharmaceutical industry experience in pharmaceutical formulation and/or process development required - Ability to prepare common vehicles and reagents - Ability to measure solubility in buffers, bio-relevant medium & organic solvents - Ability to prepare formulations or conduct other processing steps under aseptic conditions - Ability to execute formulation development experiments, including processing support for solution, lyophilized and particulate based formulations or other preparation techniques as required - Ability to prepare formulations under aseptic and GLP conditions - Ability to perform basic analysis, including pH, osmolality, particle size measurements and HPLC - Ability to keep clear and accurate laboratory records - Ability to support the maintenance of the laboratory working environment - Ability to work safely complying with all safety policies - Ability to work as part of a team on complex formulation development projects - Ability to interface with operations personnel, management, and other scientific professionals Preferred Qualifications: - Experience in Biologics and sterile formulation a plus - Experience with process development including mixing, pumping and lyophilization studies are also a plus - You are self-driven, independent, meticulous with execution, great record keeping skills, adheres to timelines and a quick learner Required Skills: Pharmaceutical formulation, Process development, Aseptic technique, Solubility measurement, Formulation preparation, Lyophilization, pH measurement, Osmolality measurement, Particle size measurement, HPLC, Biologics formulation, Record keeping, work as part of a team Benefits: Comprehensive medical coverage, dental, and vision options, Life and disability insurance, 401(k) with company match, Paid vacation and holidays
