Summary: esVolta, LP is a leading developer, owner and operator of utility-scale energy storage projects across North America. They are seeking a motivated and talented individual for a 12-week summer internship focused on integrating AI tools into existing team workflows to enhance reporting efficiency and project insights. Responsibilities: - Identify opportunities where AI can reduce effort and improve clarity in recurring stakeholder reporting - Build a repeatable workflow that can support quarterly market reporting with minimal manual effort - Prototype AI-driven checks to support QA/QC of budget files and submissions, including consistency checks, anomaly detection, and completeness reviews - Perform due diligence on investment portfolios - Craft detailed and informative presentations management Required Qualifications: - Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, finance, economics, etc - An interest in the energy sector and US power markets - Strong analytical thinking and comfort working with ambiguous problems - Effective communication (verbal, written, and presentation) skills - Excellent analytical and quantitative skills - Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively work within multi-disciplinary project teams - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail - Experience using LLM tools (ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, etc.) and interest in applying them to real business workflows - Familiarity with basic automation concepts (APIs, integrations, workflow tools) and/or prompt engineering Required Skills: AI integration, Analytical thinking, LLM tools experience Important Skills: Automation concepts Benefits: Flexible; option to work-from-home with periodic office visits for in-person engagement or to work from company offices in Newport Beach.
