Job Description
Summary: Esper is a company that revolutionizes device management to drive business growth. They are seeking a curious, hands-on intern to support both Product and IT teams, gaining exposure to device validation, test automation, IT operations, and internal tooling.
Responsibilities:
- Unbox and onboard partner hardware, logging assets accurately in Asset Panda
- Run device validation processes and maintain lab and virtual devices
- Assist with API workflows and scripting to support test automation
- Build and maintain automated workflows using AI tooling and internal platforms
- Field internal helpdesk tickets covering laptops (macOS, Windows 11 Pro), SaaS tools, and IoT devices
- Provision and configure new computers following documented workflows
- Maintain and update inventory records in Asset Panda
- Keep the IT internal wiki (Confluence) accurate and up to date
- Organize and restock IT supplies as needed
Required Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a college program (or high school senior with strong technical interest) in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field
- Comfortable troubleshooting using the OSI model and networking fundamentals
- Familiarity with the various mobile and desktop operating systems
- Basic Python scripting experience (or eagerness to learn)
- Able to follow documented processes and ask good questions
- Strong attention to detail, especially with inventory and documentation
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with the Android framework
- Exposure to device management platforms (e.g., Jamf Pro, MDM concepts)
- Experience with ticketing or ITSM tools
- Interest in IT security or automation
