Drafter/Designer at Ervin Cable Construction LLC in Phoenix, AZ

Summary: Pauley Construction, LLC is a regional contractor providing infrastructure solutions for utility systems and telecommunications networks. The Drafter/Designer will create and maintain CADD-based outside plant network designs, maps, layouts, and construction prints while coordinating with engineering, construction, and permitting teams. The role also supports project documentation, regulatory compliance, risk resolution, and timely completion of drafting tasks.

Responsibilities:
- You will assist with the execution of projects and plans supporting the organization's long-term drafting strategy
- Create new Outside Plant (OSP) network designs in various applications/software
- Develop and issue work prints for OSP Telecom networks
- Work with Engineering and Construction departments and coordinate with permitting agencies
- Create documentation and reporting to support the work package, ie: bill of materials, labor quantities, etc
- Ensure facility designs follow company standards and comply with the requirements of local, state and federal regulations, which may include Rural Utilities Service (RUS)
- You will identify and course correct project issues and risks, participate in response plans to resolve
- Provide any documentation required for the cost-effective placement of communication facilities
- Meet project deadlines and successfully complete tasks under tight timelines
- Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:
- To be 18 years of age or older
- Authorization to work in the United States for this company
- High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or at least three years of telecommunications
- Must possess, or obtain upon employment, a valid driver's license
- You will have training in the field
- You will have good interpersonal skills
- You will have solid experience with the principles and practices of fiber specific projects, network deployments and related fields
- Duties outlined in this position will require the employee to stand, crouch, sit, bend, and use hands and fingers to handle or feel as well as reaching with hands and arms to spaces both high and low
- The noise level in the work environment for this position is moderate
- Employees performing these job functions are required to lift or move up to 10 pounds and frequently lift or move up to 50 pounds in a shift with assistance

Preferred Qualifications:
- You may have 1 or more years of progressive experience in drafting - You may have proficiency in Auto CAD
- You may have advanced training in the field
