Job Description
Summary: EquipmentShare is on a mission to transform the construction industry through innovative technology and real-time support. They are seeking a student intern to assist in mechanical design tasks, including CAD modeling, documentation of processes, and design of construction equipment attachments.
Responsibilities:
- Mechanical engineering - design work including CAD modelling, drawing development, drawing package preparation, process documentation, data analysis, competitive benchmarking
- Documentation of processes, including design and development processes
- Mechanical Design - Component level concepts and design, component and sub-system spec and development for various mechanical systems, including sheet metal
- Truck Upfit - BOM development and component selection and specification
- Construction equipment attachment design and documentation - Design of attachments for construction equipment, as well as competitive benchmarking and specification documentation
Required Qualifications:
- Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Possess skills in: CAD software, mechanics, hydraulics, materials
- Experience working with hand tools
- Experience in technical report writing
