Job Description
Summary: Epiq is a company dedicated to cybersecurity, and they are seeking an Intern to support their cybersecurity product security team. The role provides an opportunity to gain practical experience while assisting in securing software development lifecycles and pipelines.
Responsibilities:
- Assists in working with software development teams to implement and improve security practices
- Consult with software developers to understand their development pipelines and key pain points
- Conducts research and analysis to support application security projects and initiatives
- Assist with software development maturity assessments leveraging the OWASP SAMM framework
- Interact with and coordinate various events for the security champions community
- Conduct hands-on application penetration testing tasks to identify or verify vulnerabilities in software products
- Assist in interpreting, tracking, and remediating security findings from Epiq's cloud security posture management platform
- Assist in producing various presentations and other documentation in support of the product security program
- Demonstrate a proactive approach by identifying opportunities for improvement and suggesting solutions
- Engages in professional collaboration to foster a positive and productive work environment
Required Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree program in a cybersecurity field
- No prior experience required; previous internships or related independent experience is a plus
