About the Role
We are seeking aSoftware Engineer (Java)to design, build, and scale modern backend platforms, APIs, andmicroservices. In this role, you will developJava‑based APIs andVaadinAppsand contribute to the development ofAI agents and orchestration workflowsusing modern LLM tooling. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to deliver secure, scalable, and high‑quality solutions that support enterprise platforms and business workflows.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintainscalableapplications and servicesusingJava (Spring,Vaadin),following the best practices.
Build and manageRESTful APIsandfrontend and backendcomponents with strong focus on performance, security, and reliability.
Developsystem integrations and workflowsacross enterprise platforms using APIs andevents.
Contribute toCI/CD,Containerization, and DevOps practicesto improve delivery speed and operational stability.
Ensurecode quality and production readinessthrough testing, reviews, documentation, and adherence to best practices.
Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and QA to deliversecure, high‑quality solutionsand mentor team members as needed.
Required Qualifications
4+ yearsof professional experience in software engineering, with strong backend development focus.
Strong hands‑on expertise inJava, building production‑grade backend services and APIs.
Proven experience designing and implementingRESTful APIsandmicroservicesusingJava.
Solid understanding ofbackend architecture patterns, including Backend‑for‑Frontend (BFF), microservicesand service‑oriented design.
Experience withauthentication and authorization mechanismssuch as OAuth2, JWT, and SSO.
Strong knowledge ofrelational database designand SQL (PostgreSQL or equivalent)
Experience building and deploying applications in acloud environment(GCP, AWS, or Azure).
Familiarity withcontainerization and CI/CD practices(Docker, pipelines, automated deployments).
Proficiency withGit‑based workflows, code reviews, and collaborative development.
Strong problem‑solving, debugging, and analytical skills, with an ownership mindset.
Test-Driven Development and Unit Testing experience
Experience working in distributed team environmentsusing version control, code reviews, and standard DevOps practices
Preferred Skills
Experience withGCP servicessuch asCloud Run, GKE, Cloud Functions, and Cloud SQL,BigQuery
Familiarity withevent‑driven and asynchronous systems(Kafka, Pub/Sub, RabbitMQ, or Service Bus).
Experience withcloud‑native patternsand infrastructure‑as‑code (Terraform or equivalent).
Knowledge ofNoSQL databasesand cloud data lakes.
