Job Description
Summary: Entegris is seeking an Automation Engineer to join their growing team at the Colorado Springs, Rockrimmon site. The role involves designing, implementing, and optimizing automation systems for advanced manufacturing operations, collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance safety, quality, and productivity.
Responsibilities:
- Support design and implementation of automated equipment and control systems
- Assist with programming and troubleshooting PLCs, HMIs, and robotic systems
- Collaborate with manufacturing engineers and technicians to optimize processes
- Participate in equipment installation, commissioning, and validation activities
- Conduct safety and risk assessments for automation projects
- Analyze data to improve equipment performance and reliability
- Stay current with emerging automation technologies and best practices
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering
- 1–3 years of experience in automation engineering or related field (internships/co-ops count)
- Familiarity with PLC programming (Rockwell/Allen Bradley preferred)
- Basic understanding of robotics, motion control, and industrial networks
- Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical/electrical aptitude
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with robotic programming and integration
- Exposure to vision systems, sensors, and servo systems
- Knowledge of CAD tools (SolidWorks or similar)
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and cleanroom practices
- Ability to adapt to fast-paced, dynamic environments
