Job Description
This is a hybrid role. As a Planning Manager, you will be responsible for managing the end‑to‑end planning, scheduling, and coordination of casino delivery activities, including game testing, supplier aggregations, and platform configurations. You will ensure that delivery plans align with sprint cycles and squad commitments, enabling the release of predictable, efficient, and high‑quality casino products.
Reporting to the Head of Gaming Operations, you will be part of the Gaming Pillar, who Being a central coordination point between squads, suppliers, testing teams, and operational partners. The Planning Manager provides visibility of delivery schedules, dependencies, and capacity. You will focus on balancing speed, quality, and risk, ensuring that testing and configuration activities are planned, sequenced, and delivered in line with agreed priorities and outcomes.
Plan & Scheduling
- Lead the planning and scheduling of casino game testing, supplier aggregations, and configuration activities.
- Build delivery plans in consideration of sprint cadences and squad delivery cycles.
- Ensure testing and release of activities are sequenced, accounting for dependencies, environments, and resource availability.
- Maintain forward‑looking delivery roadmaps to support medium‑ and short‑term planning.
Sprint & Squad
- Work with delivery squads to understand sprint scope, priorities, and capacity.
- Ensure planning activities support squad commitments and minimize disruption to sprint delivery.
- Coordinate testing and configuration work across multiple squads to avoid conflicts and bottlenecks.
- Support sprint ceremonies by providing clear delivery timelines, risks, and dependencies.
Test & Configuration Coordination
- Plan and coordinate game testing activities across our teams and external suppliers.
- Ensure testing environments, configurations, and prerequisites are ready following delivery schedules.
- Track progress of testing cycles, re‑tests, and fixes to support release decisions.
- Coordinate configuration activities required for game enablement, supplier integration, and release of readiness.
Supplier & Stakeholder Management
- Be a primary planning contact for suppliers involved in game delivery and aggregation.
- Coordinate supplier testing schedules, dependencies, and delivery timelines.
- Communicate plans, changes, and risks to partners.
- Escalate delivery risks or conflicts early and support resolution.
Risk, Dependency & Capacity Management
- Manage the delivery of risks, dependencies, and constraints across testing and configuration activities.
- Monitor capacity across teams and highlight potential impacts to sprint commitments.
- Adjust plans to respond to changing priorities, incidents, or delivery challenges.
- Support data‑driven decision‑making by providing accurate and up‑to‑date planning insights.
Governance, Reporting, and Continuous Improvement
- Maintain planning artefacts, schedules, and delivery documentation.
- Provide regular reporting on delivery status, milestones, risks, and dependencies.
- Review planning outcomes to identify improvement opportunities in processes, tooling, or ways of working.
- Support continuous improvement of sprint‑based planning and delivery practices.
Qualifications
Essential Experience
- 5+ years of experience in planning, scheduling, or delivery coordination roles within technology or product environments.
- 5+ years of experience with Agile delivery models, including sprints and squad‑based working.
- Experience coordinating testing, configuration, or release activities across multiple teams.
Desirable Skills and 5+ years of experience
- Experience in online casino, gaming, or regulated technology environments.
- Familiarity with game testing, supplier integrations, or platform configuration activities.
- Experience using planning, delivery, or workflow tools (e.g. Jira, Confluence, similar).
- Understanding of release management and environment coordination.
