Position Overview
The Director, Regional Practice is a senior operational leader responsible for driving end-to-end performance across a portfolio of physician practices. This role partners closely with client stakeholders and internal teams to optimize revenue cycle operations, improve financial and operational outcomes, and ensure best-in-class service delivery.
This leader will operate in highly complex, multi-site environments, influencing both directly managed teams and client-employed staff to achieve performance excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Lead operations across multiple physician practice sites, ensuring strong financial performance, quality outcomes, and operational consistency
Serve as the primary partner to client leadership, fostering trusted relationships and driving alignment on strategic priorities
Identify performance gaps and implement data-driven solutions to improve revenue cycle outcomes, including front-end, mid-cycle, and back-end processes
Influence and coach practice leadership and staff (including non-direct reports) to drive adoption of best practices and standard workflows
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), including productivity, quality, and financial metrics, and drive accountability across teams
Lead change management initiatives, including process optimization, workflow redesign, and system enhancements
Partner cross-functionally with internal teams (e.g., revenue cycle, analytics, technology) to deliver scalable, high-impact solutions
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies
Travel extensively (approximately 75%) within the West Coast region to provide on-site leadership and support
Qualifications
10+ years of progressive healthcare operations leadership experience, preferably in physician revenue cycle management
Demonstrated success managing multi-site operations and driving measurable financial and operational improvements
Strong knowledge of physician billing, revenue cycle processes, and healthcare regulations
Proven ability to influence stakeholders at all levels, including executive leadership and client partners
Experience leading through ambiguity and managing complex, matrixed environments
Data-driven mindset with the ability to interpret metrics and translate insights into action
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred

Compensation
Salary Range: $150,000 – $185,000 annually
