The Opportunity:
The Director, Coding (Global) leads enterprise coding operations across domestic and offshore teams, driving coding accuracy, compliance, and revenue cycle performance. This role partners across clinical, compliance, and revenue cycle functions to reduce denials, improve charge capture, and ensure accurate reimbursement.
Key Responsibilities
Lead global coding operations (onshore + offshore teams)
Manage coding performance: accuracy, productivity, DNFB, turnaround times
Drive denial reduction and revenue optimization initiatives tied to coding
Oversee coding audits, quality assurance, and compliance programs
Standardize coding policies, workflows, and governance across markets
Partner with RCM, clinical, and compliance teams to improve documentation integrity
Utilize reporting and analytics to identify trends and performance gaps
Support technology, automation, and system optimization initiatives
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
8+ years in coding / revenue cycle operations
5+ years in leadership (multi-site or global teams)
Expertise in inpatient, outpatient, and/or professional coding
Strong knowledge of coding compliance and regulatory standards
Certifications
RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC, or equivalent required
Preferred Qualifications
Experience managing offshore/global teams
Multi-client or healthcare services environment experience
Experience with coding transformation, automation, or integrations
Strong executive communication and stakeholder management
Compensation
Salary Range: $115-135
